We are excited about all the fabulous fashions at Patryka for Spring/Summer 2021. As we all plan for a summer where we explore this amazing island we live on, we thought we would share our favourite outdoor outfits and places we love on Vancouver Island. Aventura and Royal Robbins are two brands that focus on comfort, style, and sustainability, making them the perfect addition to your island getaway wardrobe.

Aventura has quickly created a passionate fashion friend following at the store over the past couple of years. A family-owned business since its beginnings selling shorts out of a station wagon in 1965, they have evolved into a clothing line the is, “both beautiful, comfortable and functional." Their commitment to producing sustainable clothing is an integral part of their company values. Royal Robbins has a long history of being part of travel adventures big or small. Royal and Liz Robbins turned their passion for rock climbing and the environment into a family-owned outdoor clothing company in the 1960’s. Their values are an important presence in the company values today as, “Our commitment to sustainability is based on Liz and Royal’s belief in doing things the right way for people and planet. We know that this path is not always easy, and that sustainability is not a fixed destination, but a journey of continuous improvement.” To achieve these goals, they focus on three key areas: material, ethical production, and partnerships. Their passion has also created a fabulous line of clothing. We have chosen our top favorite items from Royal Robbins.
First, is the Women's Discovery capri #y34620. They are made of breathable stretch nylon, and the capri has a roll up leg. This capri is perfect for travel or hiking. They are durable, comfortable, and quick to dry. We have it available in sandstone the perfect neutral.
Next up, is the Women's Expedition print 3/4 sleeve top #y322024. This top not only looks attractive, but it also keeps you cool, offers sun protection, and is made with recycled material. We have it available in a beautiful neutral print called Tradewinds Spring.
Last, is our absolute favorite the Women's Multi Way dress #y316006. Perfect for going out shopping, to the beach, backyard bbq or dining out on a patio. This dress can be worn V-neck or scoop neck. Danielle & Roxy’s Favourite Island Getaways
Danielle- I have so many favourite places to explore on Vancouver Island. My favourite place to enjoy the outdoors is Port Renfrew, I love the quiet and calm. Port Renfrew has it all…the ocean, beautiful beaches, and amazing forests and lakes. Whether it is a day out fishing, exploring in my kayak, or reading a good book on the beach…I love it all. You can do it as a day trip, go camping, or book one of the many cabins that are available. The west coast of the island is a must see this summer.
Roxy- After such a long winter indoors, I am willing to bet we are all excited to get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine. We are so lucky to live in such an incredible place with many places to explore. I have lived here my entire life and still finding new spots. One of my all-time favourites is a spectacular beach on the northern part of the island called San Josef Bay. It is only a 45 min hike from the parking lot on a very well-maintained trail. It is a bit of a trek to get there but the beautiful white sand and the sea stacks make it well worth it. We often try to camp close by and do a day trip to the beach.
As our world starts to get back to normal, looking forward to exploring our island this summer is the perfect motivation to update our wardrobes to be fashion fabulous on our adventures.
