What I enjoy most about working at Patryka Designs is getting to know our wonderful customers by assisting them in their search for a casual favourite or the perfect outfit for their special event, and becoming friends through fashion. I also enjoy the family-like work environment with my co-workers, the opportunity to create interesting visual displays, and managing our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Buying the merchandise for the store is a fun, fast- paced, and exciting opportunity to see all the latest fashions. Choosing the clothing and accessories are based on so many factors including: trends, textures, colours, creating fashion stories (outfits), customer feedback, sizing, and fit. We try very hard where possible to support Canadian designers and clothing made in Canada.

What I enjoy most about working at Patryka Designs are the people I work with and the customers. We enjoy having fun! When we are able to find a piece of clothing or whole outfit for the customer that makes them feel good and that they know they will wear, it is a very satisfying customer experience.
My favorite labels are Joseph Ribkoff and Renuar for the fit and feel.

I’ve taken a step back over the past year from being up front and personal with customers to taking on the administration and data entry of the Customer Database as well as the maintenance of our Birthday Card program. You will still see me on the floor from time-to-time as I’m always thrilled to partake as a Fashion Consultant during special events, trunk shows and fit clinics throughout the year!

I joined the Patryka design team early in 2019 and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my new co-workers and delightful customers. I love the variety of brands and styles we carry; some of my favorites so far are Tribal, ModOdoc, Jag, Orb and Gilmour.
I've always enjoyed fashion and makeup, and I’ve worked in retail for many years including 14 years at Suzanne's in Port Alberni and at the Duncan location.

I joined Patryka Designs as a fashion consultant in May 2022 and love working here. In my short while here I have observed the connection the consultants share with each of their customers and appreciate the beauty in that relationship. Patryka represents a choice of clothing that is perfect for Island living, working and travel so in my opinion, who would not want to work here?
